Who: Participants must be licensed for food service in Pueblo County.
What: Submit your unique recipe in 4 categories: 1. Appetizer, 2. Entrée, 3. Dessert, 4. Cocktail
Participants must submit a complete, UNIQUE and original recipe that includes Certified Pueblo Chile as an ingredient (this item cannot be on your menu). What is “Certified Pueblo Chile?” It is Pueblo Chile, grown in Pueblo County. You can find a list of Certified Pueblo Chile Growers at pueblochile.org.
When: Registration will open March 18th and close April 12th. Judging will take place April 19 at all participating locations. Judges will score in 3 main categories: Visual Appeal, Pueblo Chile Flavor and Overall Satisfaction. *Please keep portions small.
Fee: Registration is $50 entry fee and $10 extra for each additional category you choose to register for.
Prizes: 1st Place Winners in each category will receive a Coveted Pueblo Chile Iron Plaque, a $250 cash prize and be included in the official 30th Anniversary Pueblo Chile & Frijoles Festival Recipe cookbook. Winners will also receive TONS of media and marketing exposure!
